  • Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

Fantastic sounding analogue version of Earthrise with custom edits unique to this format.
A batch of LPs have reversed labels due to an error in the manufacturing process. I'll check before dispatch and let you know if you have one of these rarities. The album would then be played the side labled "Part two" 1st to get the correct sequence, launching first and returning last! :-)

about

This mellow, jazzy track depicts Apollo missions' 3 day journey through deep space to the Moon. A distance of almost 239,000 miles (380.000km). The mood of this track is almost a meditation with beautiful Flugel horn work by Neil Yates reminiscent of the much missed Kenny Wheeler. The Arrow of Time is a term used in Physics to state that time can only travel in one direction-forward.The initial title for this piece was 3rd Layer of Time where in fact once in space, free from the constructs of human time and systems its almost as if time doesn't exist in any way that we understand here on Earth.3 days in relation to the amount of time the universe has existed and the distances between celestial bodies is like a grain of sand in the desert or even less so! The meditative mood is maintained by the hypnotic drumming, cycling melodic bass parts and sparse high voiced piano chords. Some tasteful guitar playing from Mike Walker as ever.
